As the founder and president of Omni Basement Systems, Pete oversees every part of company operations. After spending several years in both the construction and software business, Pete was ready for a change and in 2003 started Omni Basement Systems from his home. Pete went on to complete comprehensive training at the Basement Systems head office in Seymour, Connecticut. He has also studied structural foundation repair at Foundation Support Works in Omaha, NE, and wall reinforcing at Nationwide Reinforcing in Columbus, OH.
In the early stages of the business Pete did it all: he was the salesman, installer, and service department. This has made him a hands-on owner who understands every facet of his business inside out. Over the past 8 years, Pete has personally installed over a thousand basement waterproofing systems and has consulted with over 3000 customers. Despite the company's humble beginnings, in 2010 Omni Basement Systems became the largest Basement Systems dealer in Canada.
Pete takes personal responsibility for customer satisfaction on every job and insists on the same values for each and every member of the Omni Basement Systems team. His personal philosophy is to do whatever it takes to "help customers have what they want and need and see to it that they are satisfied!"
“The basement in Tina H.'s Stoney Creek, ON home was built with stone and it has been relatively dry until a couple of years ago when she began to notice some water trickling in through the south wall. At the time they intended to put the house for sale so they knew it would be a good idea to address the basement seepage problem to make the home more appealing to prospective buyers. Tina chose Omni Basement Systems for the job for a number of reasons. She liked the idea of a drainage system that could be installed from the inside of the basement. There would be no need to dig out the foundation to install conventional weeping tiles. She also liked the idea of covering the irregular walls with CleanSpace which has a built in antimicrobial layer to prevent mold growth -- but most of all she loved the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. "The pump is actually so quiet there were times when we were wondering whether it was even working!" - she explains. Tina is very happy with the experience and the results. The basement looks brighter and it's been completely dry ever since.”
“Our crew went to the beautiful Vinifera Bed & Breakfast to help solve their leaky basement issue once and for all!”
“I was very impressed by Peter clearing his schedule to make sure the job got done. That's a company that knows business!"
“Peter and Staff were both professional, courteous and explained what they were doing as they went along. I was pleasantly surprised with basement when they were through”
“I was lucky enough to be referred to Omni Basement Systems for an extension to the drainage system in our basement where we had some mold damage. Owner Pete spent over two hours with my wife and me (i) discussing what needed to be done, following the removal of the mold, in order to protect our home in future and (ii) providing a fixed-price quotation for the work, which we found more than acceptable. The crew (Kevin, Trevor, Justin, and Dustin) did a great job installing the company's WaterGuard drainage channel and CleanSpace wall cladding.”
